in most cases, “excuse me” is the same as “sorry”, in Chinese we say “对(duì)不(bu)起(qǐ)/很(hěn)抱(bào)歉(qiàn)” , but in some different environment, Chinese use different words for excuse me:
  1.  When you are on a train or a bus, there are a lot of people around you and you want to get off, you say “请(qǐng)让(ràng)一(yī)让(ràng)”.
  2. When you want to disturb others to ask a question,  or when you are talking with others and suddenly your phone is ringing, you say “不(bù)好(hǎo)意(yì)思(si)(打(dǎ)扰(rǎo)一(yí)下(xià))”
  3. If you make something wrong, but you do not mean to do it, e.g. you broke a plate, or you hurt somebody, you say “请(qǐng)原(yuán)谅(liàng)”
