1. You actually do not need “nice to meet you”.
Of course, you could translate it directly into Chinese (很(hěn)高(gāo)兴(xìng)见(jiàn)到(dào)你(nǐ)), but in the daily life, Chinese do not use it at all, you will rarely hear about it.
2. About “how are you?”
This is also a sentence that chinese will not often use. I mean, when two Chinese meet, they do not ask "how are you?".
The direct translation of this sentence is 你(nǐ)好(hǎo)吗(ma)? But to be more native, Chinese say to their friend.
“最(zuì)近(jìn)怎(zěn)么(me)样(yàng)?”
<最(zuì)近(jìn) = recently, 怎么样 = how do you find >
or "最(zuì)近(jìn)在(zài)忙(máng)什(shén)么(me)?"
<忙(máng) = busy, 什(shén)么(me) = what >
